The BMW Open is a prestigious ATP 500 tennis tournament held annually in Munich, Germany. Upgraded to ATP 500 status in 2025, this event marks the first of four German tournaments on the ATP Tour calendar each season. Hosted in Bavaria's picturesque capital at the historic MTTC Iphitos tennis club since 1974, the tournament (currently known as the BMW Open by Bitpanda) has deep roots, linked to the International Tennis Championships of Bavaria first held in 1900. German tennis fans have cheered local winners 10 times, including three titles for Philipp Kohlschreiber (2007, '12, '16) and back-to-back wins for Alexander Zverev (2017-'18).
